A suffocating heat wave in Europe is countered by a cold air mass rushing towards our region.
Arab Weather - Computer simulation maps at the Arab Weather Center indicate a surge of hot air from the African desert towards the western regions of the European continent, especially Spain, Portugal and France, accompanied by a high-pressure system in all atmospheric layers, which will trigger a heat wave in those areas, God willing, and this will lead to temperatures rising to levels approaching the high thirties Celsius in some areas, especially on Thursday.
If we take the capital Seville as an example, we expect, God willing, that the maximum temperature there will reach about 37 degrees Celsius, while the capital Madrid will record around 32 to 33 degrees Celsius as a result of being affected by this heat wave.
As a counter-reaction, God willing, an air mass with cooler temperatures than usual for this time of year is expected to push towards the eastern Mediterranean basin on Thursday, primarily affecting Turkish lands, accompanied by a low-pressure system that will, God willing, bring heavy rain to large areas of Turkey.
The effects of this air mass are expected to extend towards the Levant region, which will hopefully lead to a noticeable drop in temperatures and a shift towards cooler weather, especially during the evening and night hours. This will coincide with increased wind speeds and rainfall, God willing, in several areas of Syria and Lebanon, in addition to a chance of some rain extending towards areas of Palestine and Jordan.
And God knows best.
